Healthwatch achieve many impactful positive changes for service users, but too often these are not fully recognised. By considering the Theory of Change that sits behind each piece of our work and focusing on identifying our true outcomes, we can discover new ways to articulate our impact and grab the attention of stakeholders.
In our learning need survey and in Quality Framework conversations you have said you would like to have further opportunities to consider your approach to reporting impact. These small-group workshops are based on key elements of the Making a Difference Toolkit. With a maximum of seven participants at each session, you will be able to explore the topic with peers and identify practical steps for your Healthwatch to take.
Who is this event for?
This event is for Healthwatch leadership and/or people with a responsibility for understanding impact.
We would ask that only one person from your Healthwatch books a place on a particular workshop, given the small groups involved.
What will you learn?
The workshop will particularly focus on:
- What is a Theory of Change and why do one?
- Priority setting
- Identifying outcomes
- How assumptions might influence your activities
- Communicating your impact.
Part of the session will involve a group exercise so participants can help each other explore the true impact of their work.
