Helping you manage Conflicts of Interest

About this event

Each local Healthwatch team is taking part in assessing its effectiveness within the Quality Framework. Early feedback suggests support would be welcome in creating a Conflict of Interest Policy to meet the requirements of the Quality Framework domains.

This will be a small interactive event that will cover the importance of having a policy to help manage conflicts of interest and take you through the new guidance and policy templates. We will also explore the benefits to local Healthwatch and explore challenges and successes and how these can be used to share good practice.

Healthwatch lead officers, managers and board members.

What will you learn?

Margaret, our Good Practice Project Manager, will introduce you to the new Conflict of Interest guidance and policy so that you understand:

  • How it has been developed and why each Healthwatch should have a Conflict of Interest Policy.
  • What makes a good Conflict of Interest policy.
  • How you can tailor the guidance to meet the needs of your Healthwatch
