In the 2020 Learning Needs Survey, you told us that having opportunities to learn about research skills is a priority for you. This session will cover the basics of how to design a survey including collecting demographic data for any Healthwatch research project.
Who is this event for?
This event is for Healthwatch Staff who are involved in designing surveys for research projects.
What will you learn?
You will learn how to design a survey to collect meaningful data that meet your research objectives. We will look at what a good quality survey looks like and explore various question formats and how to word questions. You will learn how you can minimise bias when designing your survey, the importance of collecting demographic data and piloting a survey.
Preparation for this session:
This is a participatory session. We will be asking you to share your experiences with research planning, and any questions you may have.
