About this event
One of Healthwatch’s key principles is “promoting, and supporting, the involvement of people in the commissioning, provision and scrutiny of local care services." This is why Healthwatch has partnered with Power With and Expert Citizens to assess, enhance, and implement participatory approaches across Healthwatch nationally and locally. From this project, we expect to collectively develop:
- 3 case studies drawing on exemplary practices across local Healthwatch communities
- A common definition of “Active Participation” alongside tangible benchmarks that can be assessed to evaluate and monitor an organisation’s participatory approaches
- A tool to help Healthwatch support participatory approaches both locally and nationally
For this project to be a success, we need your voices involved in these conversations! This focus group will help us to collectively determine what’s being done across local Healthwatch, and what seems to be missing. We look forward to discussing active participation further with you!
