This session will look at two important areas for Healthwatch working with ICSs:
- How the system can be held to account
- Healthwatch representation in ICS structures
Who is this event for?
The event is for senior staff and board members with strategic responsibilities in their Healthwatch.
What will you learn?
This session will be an opportunity to share your experiences and to hear from others about how ICSs are developing.
We’ll use this session to explore some of the difficulties you’re facing as well as hearing about where holding to account is working well (or developing well – it may still be early days).
This could include how we work with Health and Wellbeing Boards, Overview and Scrutiny, the ICB, the CQC, System Quality Groups, NHSE and maybe more – and how we can do this most efficiently without getting bounced around the system.
We’ll also want to check out how Healthwatch are represented across the system and how well that’s working.
