Follow #Healthwatch2019 conference as it happens

Follow our event round up to find out what people are talking about at our annual Healthwatch conference.

Staff and volunteers are on their way from across England

A great start to Day 1

Our annual conference is a great way to network with Healthwatch across the country. It was great to see everyone come together at the start of Day 1.

Some truly inspirational thoughts shared across the network today

Day 1 left us feeling extremely motivated. It included a session of walking football with Healthwatch Bristol, understanding more about how people with learning difficulties want to be involved in improving health and care with Healthwatch Cumbria, and an interesting session on how to work differently with communities to empower service users with Liz Sargeant and Prof. Donna Hall.

Healthwatch Network Awards

We'd like to congratulate the award winning Healthwatch once more for their amazing work across the country, making a difference to people's experiences of health and social care.

Day 2 at #Healthwatch2019

The buzz from last night's conference carried over to a day full of inspiring discussion, as well as a positive response on our work on improving patient transport, delivered by the Chief Exec of the NHS Simon Stevens.

Keep the conversation going

Don't forget to link with your colleagues on Workplace so that you can continue your conversations and share your work and new learnings with the rest of the network.

As Sir Robert Francis said, "we should not keep a secret the good work that we do."

If you haven't got a Workplace account and would like one, please contact Do not make your own account, this will only slow the process down.
