About this event

This session will help you consider ways to support your volunteers and offer them positive experiences whilst volunteering for Healthwatch.

You will be supported throughout to identify actions which you can put into practice in your own work. You will also receive signposting to further learning, reading, peer support and networking in the field of volunteer management.

Type of event

NCVO webinars include a mixture of presentations, group work and discussion in breakout rooms and using interactive online tools.

Joining in with your camera on will be appreciated.

Healthwatch staff who are responsible for recruiting volunteers.

What will you learn?

This training will help you to:

  • understand what research tells us about what makes a positive volunteer experience.
  • deepen your understanding of working with volunteer motivations, and how we can continue to use this to maintain positive volunteer experiences via ongoing support and supervision.
  • hear suggestions for rewarding and recognising volunteers.
