About this event
This workshop will give you an understanding of race, including as it relates to health inequalities.
Race is a complex and sensitive topic that must be understood in a historical and social context. In England and Wales, racial differences inform stark statistics: Black women are 4x as likely to die during childbirth than white women, and for all ages, family types and family work statuses, people from ethnic minority groups are, on average, much more likely to be in income poverty than white British people.
