Many of you requested support with income generation in the 2024 learning needs survey.
This session is an introduction to bid writing. It will help you understand the bidding process and how to get your Healthwatch bid ready. It will help you gain the skills and confidence to plan a successful bid process, and you will take away hints and tips for writing a winning bid.

This is in interactive session with active participation. It will include presentations, information sharing and interactive activities.

Healthwatch managers and board members who are responsible for bid writing and income generation.

· understand key takeaways from the procurement Act 2023
· know the steps you need to take to become bid ready
· know how to successfully plan your bid once your tender is out
· understand how to write your bid and get input from others
· think through pricing within a successful bid
· get top tips for a high scoring bid
· receive practical handouts and a submission checklist to take away and use
· be able to ask questions and receive support from the experienced trainer and your peers
Who is running this event?
Lisa Johnston is the founder and director of Bid Buddy. She has held senior fundraising and business development roles for four national charities and has supported hundreds of smaller charities and social enterprises. With over 20 years’ experience in the voluntary and community sector, health consultancy and public engagement she has raised over £150 million in statutory and contract income. She is APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) certified and a Senior Fundraising Fellow with Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy.
