This session will help you to better support your personal wellbeing and resilience and will be useful to Healthwatch staff who provide information and signposting to the public. It will be helpful to anyone who gathers views from the public and hears experiences of health and social care services.
Type of event
Small group workshop with active participation.
Having your camera on and joining in with the discussions will be appreciated by the trainer and help you and the rest of the group get the most benefit from the session.
Who is this event for?
This event is for Healthwatch staff who provide health and care information, signposting, and advice to members of the public, over the phone, by e-mail and social media, working both remotely and office based. It will also be useful to experienced members of Healthwatch staff, as well as colleagues who are new to the role.
What you will learn?
By taking part in this workshop, you will:
· be able to identify how to support your personal wellbeing and resilience
· learn how to identify the signs and impact dealing with challenging personal stories can have on a call handler
· gain techniques and practices to strengthen personal resilience, including different approaches and methods.
· discuss the importance of self-care in the workplace and share learning with peers on how to maintain wellbeing whilst carrying out your role.
