Healthwatch: How we measure impact

Training
Online
Tuesday 16th December, 2025 - 10:00 to 12:00

About this event

Please note: our previous ‘Measuring Success’ workshop covered much of the content of this session. We therefore suggest you don’t book on this if you have attended that.

Few non-profit organisations don’t want to improve how they measure and then communicate their impact.

But what level of demonstrating impact can they realistically achieve? What do they want to prove – to whom – and what will convince them anyway?

Using examples from Healthwatch and elsewhere, this workshop will help you consider different ways that impact can be measured and where resources used to do so might be best used.

Type of event

Interactive learning session with a small group of participants. Please have your camera on if that’s possible and be prepared to speak.

Who is this event for?

This event is for any Healthwatch staff, volunteers and board members who want to think more widely about how impact is measured and communicated in the non-profit sector. It is suitable for people who haven't previously attended our Measuring Success workshop.

Who is this event for?

This event is for any paid Healthwatch staff.

What you will learn?

The workshop will give you the opportunity to:

· Look at the various ways non-profit organisations measure and report their impact.

· Consider what’s doable for smaller organisations with more limited resources.

· Learn how identifying relevant ‘evidence pathways’ can help you talk about your impact.

· Think about some examples relating to Healthwatch work.

Decide what wins the argument – stories or numbers?

Who is running this event?
