Smart Survey offer extended for another year

We are renewing our Smart Survey offer to you for another year, so you can continue to use the helpful tool for your research and engagement surveys.

In our 2019 digital review, you identified a need for a good quality survey tool. As a result, we invested in SmartSurvey with enterprise features to help you collect and analyse insight and work collaboratively with other Healthwatch across Integrated Care Systems.  

We offered every local Healthwatch a free licence for SmartSurvey for a year. It gave you access to survey templates, data analysis tools, and the ability to collaborate. Already, over 60 Healthwatch have signed up.  We are also using it to undertake national surveys.  

Feedback on SmartSurvey 

We recently asked you to complete a survey and tell us your thoughts.  

The survey results showed that most of you (88%) have had a positive or very positive experience with SmartSurvey and have found it easy to use. Almost all of you (96%) have used the platform to run surveys for your Healthwatch.  

Some of the benefits of SmartSurvey included:

  • Collaborative work with other Healthwatch and us  
  • Easy to use,  
  • Available at no cost

Very useful. I really like SmartSurvey and find it very intuitive to use. It helps to know other Healthwatch are using the same platform, and so good to be able to collaborate and discuss survey results knowing they have been exported the same way.

Some drawbacks were noted, mainly that some people found skip logic to be limiting or difficult, and some features (such as the translation option) did not function as expected.   

Renewing our offer 

Despite these drawbacks, the feedback was largely positive, and we have gained insight into what topics we can provide further help on, such as collaboration, template surveys, and skip logic.   

We have therefore decided to offer it again to all Healthwatch for 2023/24.

If you already have a Smart Survey account with us then your account will automatically renew and you don’t need to do anything further. 

If you’d like to sign up for a new account, please email digital@healthwatch.co.uk. You will need to sign a data-sharing agreement with us before getting your licence.
