About this event
Every organisation should have a crisis communication plan in place. Anything that could affect your organisation’s profile or stall business continuity, from financial loss to staff misconduct, is an example of a risk that warrants communication with stakeholders and/ or the public.
While communication plans will differ depending on the type of risk you're dealing with, this session will help you develop your crisis communications plan, so you know what to include and how to implement it.
Type of event
Interactive learning session for a large audience. Presenters will take you through a crisis communications plan and there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
Who is this event for?
Anyone involved in communications at your local Healthwatch, including lead officers.
What you will learn?
By taking part in this session, you will:
- know how to produce / improve a crisis comms plan
- be able to identify types of risk and their impact
- understand how to write a holding response (practise)
- have the opportunity to ask questions and receive support from our friendly Communications team.
