About this event
This session will show you how to construct a good online survey that will give you actionable insight. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and get help from our friendly Research and Insight team.
Please note that we’ll be using SmartSurvey to construct the survey as Healthwatch England provides free SmartSurvey licences to local Healthwatch.

Who is this event for?
This session is for Healthwatch staff and volunteers who are involved in survey design.
What you will learn?
We’ll work through an example survey on access to GPs where every question needs improvement.
By taking part, you will be able to:
· Write a good survey introduction
· Understand common problems in question design and wording
· Use skip logic to ensure that people only answer relevant parts of the survey
· Use question banks
· Minimise bots
The original survey questions will be emailed to you before the session.
