How can the Quality Framework help you?
The framework is a self-assessment tool, developed in conjunction with local Healthwatch to help you explore key questions such as:
- Which aspects of our work are more effective and what can we improve?
- What factors drive our success?
- What impact are we making?

You can use the guide to help you complete the framework. It will explain each section of the Quality Framework, what you need to consider and how to answer the questions.
Complete the sections of the Quality Framework
Section One - Leadership
This section looks at the importance of having clear goals and a rationale for the work you prioritise.
Section two - people
This section will help you see whether you have the right knowledge, skills and support in your team.
Section three - Sustainability
This section will help you look at whether you can plan and operate effectively, as well as adapting to the changing needs of communities.
Section four - Collaboration
This section recognises the value of working in partnership, and of learning from other Healthwatch.
Section five - Engagement
This section will help you look at how you reach out to all sections of your community, gather people’s views, provide advice and information, and involve people in your work.
Section six - Influence
This section will help you look at the difference you make by ensuring those in charge of health and care services hear and act on people's views.
