This is an opportunity for Healthwatch to discuss patient safety issues.
Type of event
On the request of Healthwatch, Healthwatch England are organising quarterly meetings for Healthwatch to raise patient safety issues.
The meeting in January 2024 follows on from a meeting held in October where some Healthwatch talked about their experiences and a number of actions were identified, including a process for escalating concerns.
Healthwatch spoke about the value of peer support in thinking through how best to respond when patient safety issues arise, including communication with the public and support for staff.

Anyone in a Healthwatch who is involved in patient safety issues.
